Quick note: I am at the very beginning of my Substack journey. It’s not where I want it to be yet. The apex of my development roadmap for my substack is to provide helps and best practices so that the impact of these fast changing technologies don’t snare you. About me
My name is Scott Townsend and have a mostly self-taught technical background. I’ve founded or co-founded over five companies in my career. My titles included, Founder, Technical Co-Founder, President, CTO, Principal Data Architect, and VP of Technology.
I am also a watchman for the Lord. But it hasn’t been easy. Although I got saved in 1978 thanks to a Good News Bible and a Four Spiritual Laws, no one taught me Bible Prophecy and correlated Scripture to the critical times that we are in. In late 2016 it was my time to awaken to significant portions of the Word that were previously ignored. The Lord brought me to Jan Markel and Amir Tsarfati and many, many others. It was like drinking from a fire hose! Can you relate to that? It was during this time, while under great conviction I might add, that I actually read the entire Bible. Hallelujah!
I give God all the Glory for helping me understand. It became critical to discern the times and seasons, and the nearness of the hour. As many of you know, once you see it you can’t un-see it. At the moment that all the things I was learning coalesced and reduced into great clarity, that’s when I had this momentous decision to make. What was I going to do? Well, ultimately, I committed to start iamawatchman.com, amiraptureready.org, and rapturekit.org as a way to bring resources to the watchman community and reach the lost. My heart for the lost exploded in me. What came out of that are helps (the Rapture Kit) for those struggling to find the right mix of sermons, teachings, eBooks, and other resources to leave to those they love if they are left behind. Of course, leaving a hand written letter to your loved ones is even more important. Please commit to that if you haven’t already.
More recently, I have refactored Rapture Kit to version 3.0 and put it on over 15 post-rapture emergency message websites. It makes navigating the sermons, teachings, eBooks, Bibles, articles, etc. so much more approachable. In the resources menu, you can download the zip files that will allow you to construct this new Rapture Kit on your PC or Mac and then make as many copies as you like. After unzipping the content, you will notice that the index.html file leads you to a webified website that does not need an internet connection. I also spend time making many other additions to the content—and yes it still fits on a 32GB USB drive!
There is no fee. I do not want to stand in the way of the Gospel getting out to our future Brothers and Sisters that will come to faith once we are gone (pre-Millennium / pre-tribulation position). Thinking of our future Brothers and Sisters drives me to push the breadcrumbs and baton of our faith to a new generation. It’s all I think about and informs the technical projects I am working on currently. More on all that later.

Why subscribe?
In my public interviews and private discussions with various pastors, I keep calling for ministries with large public followings to begin leading in a new way. It’s been obvious to me that we need to help the Body of Christ understand what’s happening in the ongoing (and accelerating pace of) the Beast System…especially from a technical point-of-view.
Listen carefully. I can’t take this void anymore. We can do better for the Body of Christ. And so after considerable wrestling, I want to provide helps, best practices, and encouragement on how to become more aware of things we can do so that we can be informed and be wise. Will you join me in this journey?
But, even though I can put a stake in the ground, I am just one man with a narrow expertise. I am not the authority on such matters…but maybe if we can get a small cohort with complimentary technical skills and a heart for the Body of Christ, maybe we can really do something special.
