This is a very important positioning (white) paper from OpenAI that YouTube influencer Wes Roth breaks down. Wes is one of only 4 channels I rely on for AI related research material. That’s because he has been in the space for a while and covers actual research content (i.e. not his own) and adds good commentary to complex topics.

Back to this article. In my opinion, OpenAI is far in the lead and it seems like they are going to be unstoppable. You might be amazed to learn that they are helping to frame the “future economy”; are huge proponents of Universal Basic Income; are in the hub of the AI tech landscape with massive spokes reaching out to Microsoft, Apple, the military, etc. They are thought leaders. This is not the type of company that will be dislodged easily, because they have what’s known as first-mover advantage.

I note that this discussion includes why the United States must stay in the lead and yet instead of talking about innovation and safety, they talk about embedding in the government and military.

You know where that is going to end up, right? I can’t identify it exactly, but to me at least, it seems like it substantiates the hypothesis I often talk about that the Beast System is being setup now (see Rev 13). There’s a lot of deep state nonsense going on here. We will never know the full extent of the progress being made behind the dark and secretive back rooms, but my gut says it’s substantial.

Knowing what we know as Watchmen and Watchwomen, I want to puke every time I see someone “pitching” the benefits of AI without fully absorbing the implications. Joblessness, loss of privacy, intrusion, marginalization…and perhaps worse is the deception narrative, obfuscation, lying, and maneuvering to “escape”, “replicate itself”, “survive”, etc. Like Pastor Tom Hughes at Hope for Our Times always says, “You can’t make this stuff up!”. I agree.
